"América Latina vivir en la contemporaneidad. Visiones de arquitectura sostenible" organised by the IILA International Italo-Latin American Organisation, curated by the Italo-Panamanian architect Paola Pisanelli Nero, displays the contribution of contemporary sustainable architecture in Latin America through a multimedia and interactive narration. An architectural panorama of projects and realised works that still keeps the local building tradition alive, that experiments with and employs natural and sustainable materials, that researches and innovates the technology of local architecture, revealing a history of architecture and an ancestral technical culture that is still alive and contemporary and that is safeguarded, handed down and innovated through the experimentation of new technologies and inclusive sustainable principles. The exhibition is the result of a long research, which includes more than 90 projects and built works, with the participation of 45 Latin American studios currently working in the Latin American continent. The first stage of the travelling exhibition was hosted in Rome from 19 March to 10 May 2024 at the premises of the Brazilian Embassy in Piazza Navona in the Candido Portinari Gallery of Palazzo Pamphjli and was realised with the contribution of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DGCS/MAECI) and the CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
